CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

This is a 200hrs certification program qualify students to become a Certified Yoga Teacher with the national Yoga Alliance. We are proud to be a part of this development that safeguards the future of Yoga in America.

COURSE MENTORS

In addition to a small Teacher-Student ratio, each student is assigned a Mentor (Certified Yoga Teacher) who will take a personal interest in supporting your success and fulfillment during this course, and help facilitate the teaching, as well.

ANATOMY

We will study human anatomy to gain a deeper understanding of the practice of yoga asana and pranayama. Visual and hands-on techniques will allow you to discover the amazing functions of the body you live in every day. Paired with focus on postural alignment, a basic knowledge of human anatomy will deepen your physical practice and add clarity to your teaching, as well as making modifications to cater to existing injuries you may encounter.

LEARN BY DOING

In posture focus, we demonstrate a particular yoga pose, including alignment guidelines, verbal guidance, modifications, hands-on assists, benefits and contraindications, and then, to stabilize our learning, we practice teaching what we just learned. “Learn by doing” is a common theme you will experience throughout the course.

SUBTLE ENERGY

The chakras, vital junction points between body and consciousness, will be explored as well as the major nadis, or subtle channels, on the level of theory and experience. You will understand the role of each chakra, its effect on life, and its relation to other chakras, and the use of the chakras as doorways to integration of life. With this understanding we will identify specific asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques), and bandhas (energy locks), as well as partner work, and guided imagery for awakening, strengthening, and harmonizing the flow of shakti (energy, or life force) and awareness in and through the chakras. You will also be introduced to a one-on-one modality that combines knowledge of asana, pranayama, and the chakras with the gift of being deeply present in a way that supports your client in gaining inner and outer fulfillment.

YOGA PHILOSOPHY

The sheer amount of information on Yoga Philosophy is enormous. We can’t teach it all in this course. But we can provide the knowledge that can facilitate the natural unfolding of your being. You will be assigned a book to read to complement the learning of Yoga Philosophy.

We spend so much energy balancing our work and personal lives, but forget how important our physical sense of balance is. This is where yoga balance poses come into play as they help you to find stability in our everyday activities – both physically and mentally. Balancing poses in yoga can prevent us from injuries, improve our focus, and help us to relieve stress.

Did you know that maintaining our (physical) sense of balance is quite a complex interaction between various bodily systems? The sense of touch, the inner ear, and our sense of vision all have to work together to send the right signals to our central nervous system so that we can balance.
I’m sure you have at some point slipped or tripped over, struggling to find your balance again. You surely also know that standing on one leg requires a certain degree of equilibrium in order to not wobble or fall.

There are also some sports like surfing, snowboarding, and skating that require an extra amount of balance. But also everyday activities such as walking, stepping up the stairs, or carrying your groceries require us to stay balanced.
The good news is: yoga balance poses can help! While a regular well-rounded yoga practice helps you to improve your overall strength and stability, there are some poses that are specifically aimed at improving your balance.
We will cover

  1. What are the benefits of balancing yoga poses
  2. Tips to improve your balanced
  3. 5 balance yoga poses for beginners
  4. 5 advanced yoga poses

This class is for all levels please come and have some fun !

Reiki Immersion

Reiki : “Immersion” is a class for those looking to deepen their practice with meditation, yoga, sound therapy as well as assisting people to connect to their own personal power in relation to the work. Reiki has always been taught from the perspective that Practitioners are just conduits of the healing and not a part of the healing. I want to strengthen the confidence of the person giving and help them understand their role within a session, how they are working in tandem with a higher intelligence. This class will be an intense 2-day immersion of Reiki I, II. And III (Reiki Master)
I’m so excited to share this ancient work and the techniques. I strive to also be a bridge for eastern and western / science and spirit. I’ll be touching upon the nervous system and trauma, client scenarios and hands on approaches, entity removal and more. I’ll also be strengthening attunements for those who want a boost. This class will be held over 2 days the weekend of July 15& 16. From 11am to 6pm
Coast $300 please call Noelle to register.
There is some prerequisite reading and books you will need for the immersion.
